If you don't follow the latest gaming news, you might not have heard this one. Ever since home gaming consoles turned into mega-machines capable of interacting on the Internet and costing over $299 to own (the penny is saved, thank goodness), there has been a push to get pop culture onto the games. Think about it - wouldn't your kids rather play video games than watch MTV? Wait - I'm showing my age by even thinking that MTV shows music videos anymore. Oh well.
Either way, Microsoft has found a way to get the elusive Beatles music label Apple to sign on with their interactive video game called Rock Band. While this may not be exciting in itself to most people, it is exciting for thousands (dare I say millions?) of geeks...er...fans out there that have been waiting for this for years.
To help promote the video game, the publishing company created this awesome video. It's one of the best animated shorts I've seen, especially considering it's promoting a video game. Enjoy the video and count down to when the Beatles join the ranks of hundreds of other bands in the video game world!
Animated Beatles video

I don't usually bother to try videos as they just don't work on my antiquated pc, but seeing the magic word Beatles could not resist having a go at this one. Unfortunately it didn't work, but I managed to get into the screen shots. Now you've brought it to my attention I will keep an eye open for other news about the product. Thank you!
